If your student is not clear on any class expectations, teachers will be in their classrooms Monday and Tuesday from 8:00-9:00 a.m. during conference period to support students.

It’s Crunch Time…
Now that we’ve had a few days off to relax, it’s time to really roll up our sleeves and finish the semester strong.
There are only 14 school days left this semester. It is extremely important for students and parents to be looking into the StudentVUE and ParentVUE accounts to make sure all assignments that can be turned-in are turned-in, tests and quizzes are made-up, and all final projects are in progress, nearing completion. It may help to reach out to your student’s teachers if you have questions about grades and/or what outstanding work needs to be completed. Links to teacher emails are easily accessible from ParentVUE. The semester grade that will be issued in 14 days will be the grade that is permanently recorded on student transcripts, so it is important that students make the most of the next two weeks before final grades are due. There will be conference period Mondays and Tuesdays mornings from 8-9 a.m. in which students can seek individualized help from their teachers, as well as after school tutoring in the library on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 3:15-4:45 p.m. up until December 17th.
Students who do not have any assignments or assessments to make-up should be studying for final exams. Organizing and reviewing class notes and handouts will help them to prepare.
Planning Ahead: Final Exam Dates are December 18th and 19th and will be half days for students. Please do not plan any vacation travel plans until after 11:40 a.m. on December 19th. Winter vacation dates are December 20th-January 5th, with school commencing January 6th. January 6th will start a new semester in which student grades will reset.
Please discuss with your student that Rincon is and integral part of a greater community. We ask that our drivers be respectful and courteous to the neighbors surrounding our school by driving safely, as many nearby homes have small children, elderly family members and pets. We have received reports from our neighbors south of the school that many cars are speeding, driving aggressively, playing music loudly and littering on occasion. Please treat the Rincon community as you would your own home and show our community members just how wonderful our Rangers can be.
